UK based singer-songwriter Will Knox has teamed up with producer, Fab Dupont to create his latest album, The River Ink, out later this year. It follows his award winning debut album, The Matador & The Acrobat and EP Lexicon.
His new record blends acoustic & electronic compositions, adding a another dimension to Will's folk roots. These new influences are partly inspired by the wide range of collaborators he has teamed up with on the record, including Peter Gordeno (Depeche Mode, The Who), Charlie Midnight (James Brown, Joni Mitchell), and Marcus Killian (Lionel Richie, Kaiser Chiefs).
It will be Knox's latest release since his innovative EP, Lexicon, a 5-track EP put together as a comic book, also available as an app. BestNewBands.com commented in a review: "Creativity has always been a hallmark of Will Knox’s work. Using the power of illustration combined with his terrific storytelling makes Lexicon one of the most unique releases of 2011."
Will has been touring extensively around the US & Europe, including support slots for Art Garfunkel, Judy Tzuke, Andy Grammer, Dotan and Sami Yusuf. Between tours Will is busy a producer and songwriter; recent collaborations can be heard on Dotan's no. 1 European record, 7 Layers, (including the hit single 'Hungry') and international star, Sami Yusuf's latest album, The Centre.
The River Ink will be released in Europe later this year and tour dates will be announced soon.
